Hi, Sorry, I've been out of town this weekend so haven't been checking my mail much. As mentioned by others, iCloud is actually free and the syncing of Contacts and such is seamless and done in the background when you use iCloud Contact syncing. It is simple to set up as all you need to do is enter your Apple ID into both your Mac and iDevice in the iCloud area, check the box to sync Contacts and it's done. It should determine which contacts are the same between devices and not create duplicates. After you've completed this, all syncing is done over the air. If you do not have a very large data package, you can set your iDevice to only do it's syncing when connected to WiFi.
