Unfortunately, you can't authorize the Stream for Audible using a Mac. The only way to authorize so that you can play Audible books on it is to find a PC, install Audible Manager on it, and then during the installation, choose the Humanware player as your device. After the installation, you need to connect the Stream to the PC via a USB cable, open Audible manager, and through the activation menu, activate the Stream. However, you won't need the PC to download books onto the SD card of the Stream after that is completed. I use my Mac to go to the Audible site, purchase books from there and I go to "my library" link and download books directly to the Mac. Then I load my SD card into a card reader (I have the smaller Mac Air, so I don't have an SD card slot on my Mac), and connect the card reader to one of the USB ports on my Air. I then go to the download folder, find the book, and copy. I then go to the desktop, find the SD card and open it. I then open the VRAudible folder on the card and paste the book. Therefore, you only need to use a PC just once to authorize the Stream to play Audible books. From then on, it really doesn't matter what computer is used to download the books. Hope this helps.

I think, mostly because navigation is so quick on my stream vs my iPhone. The one thing I do like when using audible on my iPhone is bluetooth headset.
