Unfortunately, you can't authorize the Stream for Audible using a Mac. The
only way to authorize so that you can play Audible books on it is to find a
PC, install Audible Manager on it, and then during the installation, choose
the Humanware player as your device. After the installation, you need to
connect the Stream to the PC via a USB cable, open Audible manager, and
through the activation menu, activate the Stream. However, you won't need
the PC to download books onto the SD card of the Stream after that is
completed. I use my Mac to go to the Audible site, purchase books from
there and I go to "my library" link and download books directly to the Mac.
Then I load my SD card into a card reader (I have the smaller Mac Air, so I
don't have an SD card slot on my Mac), and connect the card reader to one of
the USB ports on my Air. I then go to the download folder, find the book,
and copy. I then go to the desktop, find the SD card and open it. I then
open the VRAudible folder on the card and paste the book. Therefore, you
only need to use a PC just once to authorize the Stream to play Audible
books. From then on, it really doesn't matter what computer is used to
download the books. Hope this helps.

Subject: Mac, 2nd Gen Stream, & Audible.com

Hello,

I want to authorize my stream for Audible.com. The instructions tell me that
I need to download the audible manager software. There was a link for the PC
version and a link for the Mac version. I followed the link for the mac
version. Thing is ...there is no Mac version because I am to use iTunes. So,
does that mean I cannot play audible books on my stream or what? :) Can I
put the iTunes version on my stream? If so, does the stream still need to be
authorized? I noticed on the audible website it stated I could burn a an
audible book onto CD using iTunes with my Mac. Can I burn it to my SD card
instead? I'm totally baffled on how to move forward from here. I cannot even
figure out how to get audible books into iTunes.Any ideas would be greatly
appreciated. I want to be able to use chapter navigation when possible with
an audible book.

Yes, I know, I can just use the audible app on my iPhone but sometimes I
just really enjoy reading my books better with my stream. I think, mostly
because navigation is so quick on my stream vs my iPhone. The one thing I do
like when using audible on my iPhone is bluetooth headset. So, it just
depends on my mood and what is going on and what book I am reading.

Thanks much,
Christina
