Yep, just bought my copy, for old time's sake.

Unfortunately, it's 10.6.3 and no later; Apple stopped making the discs
available for retail after that, and the only way to get the latest version is
if it came with a particular Mac. (Insert rant about Apple locking its media
to specific Macs here.)

My iMac 27 mid-2011 came with Lion when I bought it, but is technically capable
of running SL 10.6.6, which is what it originally came with. So, you have to
go through some gyration to get it installed, but it's possible. The same will
be true for many Macs in a similar place. Note, though, that you cannot
install SL on a Mac that originally released with any later version of OS X,
and should not attempt it.

Apple forbids it from being run virtually, except as a server. There are a few
hacks you can use to bypass that, but then you'd be going against Apple's
licenses.

Snow Leopard: Apple's Windows XP moment. :)

Cheers,
Sabahattin
