I'ave had great lic with that using Private Internet Access. Even better,
you can give your computer an IP address from say the UK, and watch BBC live
streaming programming, and have access to their audio description content.

Thank you both. I don't travel frequently, but when I do, I'd like to use
vpn while on public wifi.

Hi there,

I use a VPN called Private Internet Access:

It works well, is totally accessible on the mac, and has a very simple
interface. I've never had them go off line, and honestly it just works,
there is no connection logging, and so far I've gotten very connection
speeds when I've used it.

Hi, Traci,

I have never used Express-VPN, but I have tried out and used others.

For two years or so, I used Strong VPN and it worked flawlessly. I only
used it with my iPhone, not with my PC or Mac. The only time it went down
was when Hurricane Sandy hit NYC, but they were only offline for about 24
hours. The company charges around $57 per year or so.

Another VPN service I have used, which worked extremely well for me was
HotSpot Shield from AnchorFree. I found this in the Apple store. I have
never incurred any charges with them, but I haven't ever used the service
for more than just a few minutes at a time. I think (though I am not sure)
that you pay something if you use them on a regular basis. You'll need to
check that out.

You may be wondering why, if both of these services work so well, I used
the past tense when describing my experiences with them. The answer is
simple. A close friend set up a very good and reliable VPN server, so I use
it now. Nevertheless, I can truthfully say that both Strong VPN and HotSpot
Shield did an excellent job of meeting my needs.

All the best from Austria,

Mike

Hi all,

I'm reading about VPNs this morning. I'm familiar with Tunnel Bear & Cloak,
however the below service was ranked the best for 2014.

Have any MacVisionary or viPhone users used Express VPN? How did you find
ease of use/accessibility? How was your connection speed?

Do you recommend a different service?

Thank you,

Traci
