Ffmpeg is a tool that you obtain and run using the command line. Indeed, I well expect that many people will find this difficult, so unless you want to do a bit of learning, I'd suggest using tools in Windows to convert your Windows Media files into some other format, like WAV or MP3, that your Mac will then play. I used ffmpeg to convert the few songs I had from WMA into WAV, imported them into iTunes, and from there converted them into Apple Lossless. Now, I have no further need (thank goodness) for flip4mac.
I don't know about tools you might find useful in Windows, sorry. And if there is a nice front-end for the Mac for ffmpeg or similar, I'd appreciate people pointing you to it, as I don't know about those either. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
