Personally I used Nisus Writer Pro as my default PDF viewer on the Mac.
I have just checked and there is no problem at all with editing a PDF document
like any other document.
You can then go to the file menu and use the save as PDF option to force Nisus
Writer Pro to maintain the document as a PDF.
