I wonder if, using Trackpad Commander, the equivalent iOS gestures will
also work under Os X. In other words, double tap and hold on the app
until a tritone is heard, release then double tap on the app to delete.

I do use that method for some non-App Store apps, but Apple states that for
apps downloaded from the App Store, the recommended uninstall method is as I
described (touching and holding an icon on the Launch pad until the apps start
to jiggle, then tapping on the X). See http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11356. I
wonder if moving an app downloaded from the App Store to the trash achieves the
same effect (e.g. whether there files and folders in other places that are
also removed).

Actually it's simpler than that. Find the app in the Applications folder then
press command-delete to move to trash.

Hi all,
Like iOS, I understand that to uninstall an app downloaded via the Mac App
Store, one should hold down on an app's icon until all the apps start to
jiggle, then click on the the delete (X) button to uninstall it. How do you do
this with VoiceOver? I feel silly, but I can't find an equivalent command and
this isn't addressed in the VoiceOver getting started guide.
Many thanks,
Grant
