Hi, As long as you use the same Apple ID for both your iPhone and your Mac, then this shouldn't happen. All devices registered with your Apple ID are eligible to sync without the need for restoration. You can determine which devices are registered with your Apple ID by going into iTunes and viewing your Account within the Store area. An iPhone or iPod is not supposed to be a portable device for sharing/transferring media between people so it is designed to not allow such activity.
