I concurr with Tim. You might, if you ain't done so already, try holding down the power button and the home button for ten seconds. this will force your phone to do a hard restart. One note of caution about this. DO, NOT, hole the buttons in for more than ten seconds or you will send the phone in to UDF mode. This is where you'd do a hard reset of the phone's firmware.
