Hi Mary, I'm not sure what messed up my library. I'm assuming it was the upgrade to IOS 8, but Wayne said he saw these issues in IOS 7. So, long and short, I wouldn't shy away from Yosemite. What I went through was enormously frustrating, but I did finally get my books back. Also, as you have no doubt seen, there are others who have not experienced this issue.
