What exactly is it you need to have done? I know of a script which you can run that allows you to automatically number album tracks in sequence. I forgot where I got it from but it's saved me many times. IF you have a situation where you need to tag a number of files which all go in to the same album, you can select all the files at once, and then, press CMD+i and set your artist, and album tags that way.
