Hi Matt. I had the same issue when I installed the GP version overtop of the 
beta. With the little vision I have, I did see the caption bar on the screen 
signifying that Voiceover was on but had no speech. I thought my system's 
volume got muted somehow so I tried the commands to turn the volume up. Then I 
remembered about the rotor  commands for Voiceover so I cycled through them and 
with dumb luck I stumbled on the volume setting. So I pressed VO+Command+Up 
Arrow and I heard Voiceover speak. Give that a shot.
