Hi,

I've never used the method you've outlined. I perform all my movement of media
back and forth through iTunes and the specific iDevices page. That is, if I
wish to sync specific music, I bring up my iPhone page in iTunes, press on the
Music tab, Interact with the Scroll area then select what I wish synced. Once
the Apply or Sync button is pressed, everything is moved accordingly. Usually,
to make my life easiest, I put the songs into a certain playlist then sync that
playlist. This makes the process much quicker.

HTH.
