Hi there When you say you are a new Mac user, how new? If you're super new, then you may not want to take remote instructions on how to do this. This is because it takes a very, very, long time. When I got my Mac, I had had it for three days when we went from Lyon to Mountain lion. I got very chicken, and I went to the Apple store and they let me sit there and update it.
