Looked at a friend's iPad Air this weekend to see if it could be straightened out.

Once you start interacting with it, it becomes possessed. It will open apps at random, play music, bring up edit fields and it even becomes almost impossible to turn it off.

Has anyone seen this happen? Its about a year old. Perhaps the screen went bad. If left untouched after booting it up, nothing happens.

I updated it to 8.1 from 8.0.2 and updated apps. No issues during either process but after that, still acts possessed.
