Hi,
Actually, under security in Android there is a check box that is
unchecked by default. The check box says something like unknown
sources, allow applications from both known and unknown sources to be
installed.
If the user leaves this box unchecked they can only install from the
play store. If they check the box they can install apps from wherever
they wish. Ie jail braking as its called on ios.
PS this check box is unchecked on my Android devices.

Don't install iOS apps from anywhere other than the App Store, and
never respond to a prompt requesting installation from a web page or
somewhere else. If you are warned that an app is untrusted when you
launch it, delete it immediately.
