Hi, As far as I’m aware, unless something has changed, deleting a picture from your Camera Roll does not affect your PhotoStream at all. If PhotoStream is enabled from within iCloud on your iOS device, when you snap a picture, one copy is put into your Camera Roll and one is placed into the PhotoStream for instant sharing amongst your devices. Similarly, if you delete it from PhotoStream, it will delete it from all devices that are using that PhotoStream, but not necessarily from the Camera Roll. A caveat to this is that if you have iPhoto on your Mac set to copy your PhotoStream photos into events, then that copy will remain intact, only the PhotoStream copy will be deleted.
