Hi,

In addition to what Andrew mentioned, purchased music is tagged as being 
purchased only for accounting purposes.  It is not really DRM protected as it 
was in the past.  In contrast, movies and TV shows are DRM protected, thus, the 
Apple ID authorization matters for this media.  What this means with respect to 
music, is that if I purchased music and shared it with you, it would still play 
normally on your computer, even though it is tagged as Purchased with my Apple 
ID.
