Version 6 works on OSX 10.10. So maybe you can find a discount place to buy an old copy of Fusion 6 and save a little bit. That said, it also means you might be right back at the same place when OSX 10.11 comes out. I can't totally blame VMWare when their stuff works fine and then Apple changes something in the OS that makes it break. Seems like a lot of things are going towards a roughly annual upgrade drumbeat. Apple trots out a a new OSX and then all the apps have to release patches/fixes.

Subject: VMFusion V5.05 with Yosemite?

Fusion V5.05 is crashing with Yosemite. I get a message upon startup of a
windows VM that a certain module “VMMon” can’t be found, and some other related
errors. I suppose I have to upgrade to the latest fusion version, anyone
verify that V5 won’t work with Yosemite?
