Well, that's easy.  First, you need to uncheck inable this account.  then, 
totally delete the pop account from your Mac.  Then, when you go to rebuild the 
account, it will build as an imap account.  Here are the servers and port 
numbers you need to make sure are correct.

imap.comcast.net
use SSL and verification is password.  port number is 143

smtp.comcast.net
use SSL and verification is password.
port number:  587

Note.  if for what ever reason 143 does not work as an imap port, try 993:  
and, if 875 does not work for smtp, try 465.
