Interesting. There is Screen Recording as an option in QuickTime but the
audio only lets you choose between the built-in mic and a line-in, not
the sound from the computer itself. I found an article about this
problem here
http://www.cnet.com/how-to/record-your-computers-screen-with-audio-on-a-mac/
Which says the solution is to use a shim called soundflower:
https://rogueamoeba.com/freebies/soundflower/
which will make your Mac's audio appear as another sound input to the
QuickTime screen recorder. If you can share a link, I'd like to poke
around to find out if there isn't some way to just download the video
instead of the whole screen recording bit.

Yeah, Hannah loves to watch the service, and some of them I'd love to
have around for myself as well, partly because I enjoy the service,
the way our choir sounds is amazing, and sometimes all of the above,
and when you purchase the services on dvd they scrap the music for
copyright reasons.
I've tried doing a screenshot recording, as someone else on here
suggested, but that scrapped the sound, and the only way I was even
able to get a decent audio recording, was to do it via the computer's
onboard microphone, and do mmy best to eliminate background noise, so
would have to do it at night when everybody else was asleep, and just
sit with it and try not to make any sound.

So are you saying you want to record a streaming video that is
already somewhere on your screen?

No, I didn't know you could record with that; will that tell you
when there's a face in view? I've only been successful at audio
recording with that, which is disappointing, sense I want to record
our church services on occasion, which stream, but can't figure out
how to do that.

back with I'm not sure which version, considering the fact that
this was about 3 years ago, made a movie with Hannah and I which
she thought was hilarious, but it didn't tell me what was or
wasn't in view, and when I sent it to Dad and told me how
hilarious it was, he told me I cut the tops of our heads off.

I haven’t used either, but I do use iMovie V9 (holdover from
Mountain Lion) to make basic videos. I think some people are
using the latest iMovie with some success, but I didn’t like it -
at least before the latest Version, it might be better now.
