Hello everyone, The subject line summarizes my inquiry. I note that “custom” sounds can be assigned to FaceTime callers, but how can additional sounds be added to this default list, so that personalized sounds and ringtones can be options from which to select from? Or, if this is not possible, how can the default sounds be accessed, so they can be modified to reflect the personal ringtones and sounds of choice? If neither is possible, again, another customization element where Apple seems to be late to the game.
P.S. I note that when inserting the set of personalized sounds into either “~/library/sounds,” or into “~/library/audio/alerts,” or into “~/library/audio/sounds,” they do not appear for me to select in other applications as well. If I am misguided in my attempts, then I welcome any correction that will solve this problem.
