I have got this as well. I've never tried this as I realized I do not like having cords attached to me and the computer while on my mac. But, try going into the voiceover utility and go to sounds. Then uncheck the Enable positional audio. You can click on the help button there and it sort of gives you an idea of what that is. Well, I don't know if this will do anything but good luck.
