Sorry for the delay in replying to your question.

I’ve just tried this on the Huffington Post site and all you have to do is 
bring the mouse with VO-Cmd-F5 and the new items become accessible with VO. 
I’ve tried this in both DOM and Groups modes and it works in both cases.
