Alex, how about going to your profile on Apple's support page where you sign in 
with your apple ID the one you used to purchase the mac, and there you have 
listed all your devices. You can remove / deassociate the ones you no longer 
need.  Then I assume your sister can register the mac on her profile page as 
long as she can remember when she bought it.
