Tim,
This is certainly something I can test out so will do so. Thanks for
the suggestions.

Hi,
Essentially, yes, but, in the overall picture, probably not enough to worry
about. 99 people out of 100 probably wouldn’t hear any difference at all.

The stereo is above the TV so its close. But only RCA connections. Does the
TV have an impact on the sound qualtiy of music if done this way?

Hi,
Is your stereo close to the TV? If so, it would be easier to go from your TV
outputs over to one of the inputs on the stereo thus giving you that audio
signal. If your stereo is equipped with HDMI, you could alternatively go from
the Apple TV to the stereo with the HDMI cable then use a second HDMI to go
from the stereo to the TV giving you an even better quality sound experience.

Apple TV, having 2 outputs, HDMI and optical digital audio, brings up this
question.
Can both be connected at the same time to a TV and a stereo at the same
time? If I want music to play thru the stereo, what would I need to do to make
this work? I do not have an optical digital audio cable so cannot try this.
Need to get an adapter anyway since the stereo does not have optical digital
audio inputs.
