Its a great app to get started with maintaining your mac. It finds various 
areas of the mac where unused or quite large files accumulate and allows you to 
delete them. It also does a very good job at explaining what the files are, and 
also what they are for so you know exactly what you are deleting. Clean my mac 
from what I can tell does all this but also offers more advanced features such 
as an app uninstaller that I am most excited to use.
Disk cleaner pro is also a lot cheaper and can be found in the app store.
