One way to do it, if you are in preview, is to select all the text with command a. Then do come and see to copy the text to the clipboard. Then do command V when you get to the place where you want to paste it.I know that sometimes you can make a PDF file into text files, but the last time I tried to do that, I was prompted to pay for PDF to text conversion.
