Personally if I have text in multiple formats and sizes I find it much
quicker to simply cut and paste it into TextEdit temporarily. In
TextEdit press command shift T to force the copied text into plain text
, removing all the various formatting attributes. Then you can, of
course, just copy the result back to Mail.
