Unless you added apple care to your plan when you purchased the Mac from the 
apple store, you have to add it on yourself. If you want to add an apple care 
plan and its much later than the purchase date, I believe you will have to call 
them and purchase it that way. Not sure if you can simply walk back to the 
apple store and get it from there. Personally, I think its more convenient to 
do it over the phone.
