One more suggestion,
abc notation
www.abcnotation.org
There are mac editions of the program as well.
It may be a touch simple, which is sort of the goal. totally text based,
like lillypond.

I'd suggest you look into www.LilyPond.org.
It's a text based system which will work on any platform.
Expect a learning curve and you'll still want and need sighted help. It's open
source or G N U, which you'll learn as you delve into it.

Subject: Question for fellow composers/arrangers out there.
Hey all! A question for those others of you out there who write/arrange
music, and who, therefore, find yourselves having to score stuff for sighted
musicians to read. What software do you use? Is there anything out there
that???s not horrendously expensive, relatively easy for those of us who are
musicians far more than tech-beaks to use, and, of course, reasonably VO
friendly? :-( I tried Logic Pro, but it ended up being none of the above! And
Garage-Band only lets you print out individual tracks, not an entire
score/arrangement as far as I know. So it doesn???t help either! Finale???s
been suggested to me, but I don???t know about the accessibility as the person
who suggested it is sighted. So any suggestions from other VO users? I???d be
most grateful, as I???m hoping to do some arranging for my choir for our June
concert!
Ok, thanks,
Sarah
