Hello, I have found that the most effective way of mounting a network drive (NAS) to a computer is by accomplishing this through the "connect to server" feature. This can be accessed through CMD-K. Before accessing this feature you will need to have your IP address for the network drive in question, and the username and password as the login credentials. If you try and retrieve these while the server window is open it will cancel-out your server request. Thus, by having the aforementioned items in-hand, you can type these into the correct fields, and your drive should connect without error. Therefore, when you access the server window, you will need to type "smb://ip address of network drive," then insert your username and password where appropriate.
