Hi Ray, I use the method of interacting with the draw and then using the user action menu as already descried for following a user. To send a message to just one person, known as a direct message, both parties must be following each other. With Night Owl, whilst you have focus on a persons tweet in the table, press the letter D and you’ll be ready to DM them. You can also use the user action menu for this. You can mention anyone, whether they follow you or not, this will be highlighted to the other party but is a public tweet unlike a DM which is private.
