I heard back from catpigstudios support and they said they would label the favorites list button in a future update. They also explained the purpose of the grid that comes up when pressing the unlabeled button in a station block. The grid contains around 20 unlabeled buttons which are for changing the icons for the search category genres. in other words, it is irrelevant for our purposes.
