1 open your library folder and navigate to the safari folder. To do this, from any finder window press command shift G, and enter ~/library in the go to field and press enter. tilda is the shifted grave accent key just above the left tab key. once in the library folder, locate and open the safari folder and select the bookmarks.plist file. 2 Enter time machine. Now, use the window chooser (VO F2, F2 and select time machine controls. This is the TM window were you can choose a date and restore your files. At the top of the window is a vertical slider for choosing the date and time to restore from. Go back in time by VO right arrowing in the slider until you get to the desired date and time. Now press the restore button at the bottom of the window. TM will restore the file you highlighted before entering the controls window, so make sure you’ve selected the bookmarks.plist file.
