QT can only record one audio track at a time so either you have to use
something that will mix your system audio with the mic under the hood,
such as SoundFlower, so QT will see it as a single audio source or use
some real audio editor which can do things like ducking, where the
original audio track level ducks down whenever you speak. How's that for
a one sentence answer?

okay i use quicktime to record video and audio files. i love it for
its simplicity. do you have any suggestion as to how i might use it to
record my own voice over another audio track? if that is even possible
with q t. i've heard i will have to use something more robust like
audacity garage band or gold wave. thanks, max

Sorry, QT player is the QuickTime player which you can find in the
Applications Folder. You can jump to that folder from the finder by
doing command+shift+A. Then type Q U to jump down the list to that
app and then command+O to open.

Stacy, didn’t you ask if you could do this in QuickTime Player?
Chris answered your question in the affirmative. Do you not know
that QT Player is a built-in app on the mac? I’m a little confused
by your question.
BTW: when in doubt, remember that Google is your friend. It can
answer all kinds of questions.

Yes. Load up the mp3 in QT player and choose Loop from the View
menu or command+Option+L.

Hi all,
I have an mp3 file that I would like to put in a folder where it
will play several times without stopping.
Can I do this with Quicktime?
Is there a free program that will allow me to do this?

Stacey Robinson and GEB dog Kirk.
