Bryan,
You're definitely! definitely! going to want to get Pages. No questions
asked! Pages is *extremely!* accessible.
Anne Robertson has put together some training material, and also offers
Skype lessons one-on-one. I'm not sure how much they are though. I think
she's on this list, so hopefully, she'll chime in.
Chris.

Subject: a few mac questions before starting school this fall
Hello all,
Since I have decided to switch to the mac permanently now, I am getting
ready to start my master’s this fall, and I had really just one question I
guess. In text edit, has anyone used this to write papers and things like
that for school? Can you do headers and footers and footnotes and things
like that, or do I need to get pages for this? If I need to get pages, how
accessible is it, and are there any tutorials on using that, or numbers or
key note with voiceover? Just trying to get a good handle on some of these
apps before starting school this fall. I don’t want to be fighting
voiceover while trying to get assignments done. Thanks for the help,
Brian
