OK, this is probably not ideal, but it does indeed work, as I do it this way fairly frequently. It's a little bit tedious, but it can? be done.
If you flick to the item on the page which contains what you need to select and copy, don't select it. Instead, what you're going to do is, 3 finger quadruple tap. In other words, with 3 fingers, tap 4 times very quickly on the screen. Like a 3 finger double tap, except this is 4 taps, not two. You'll hear that item read aloud, and it tell you that the text was copied to the clipboard. Now, go to Mail, or whatever app you need to paste the item. Double tap in the edit field where you need the item pasted. Now, two finger twist on the screen through your rotor until you get to edit. Once there, one finger flick down until you get to paste. Then simply double tap. Bam! There you go. OK, you may now have to go back and edit/clean up that paste a bit, if it has irrelavent stuff in it from that copied item, and if what you need to paste spands over multiple Safari Voiceover items, then yeah, it's gonna be a pain in the ass, but! again, it does work.
