Hi Tim,
When I browse to that folder in the finer it is empty. However, when I browse 
there in terminal it is chock full of stuff.
I did an “ls” command and found a listing for the voice dream writer app,  in 
the form 
“iCloud~com~voicedream~writer.

Now I just have to get up to speed with copying and moving files in terminal 
and I should be all set until they fix iCloud in OS X.
You’d think it would show something in finder in the mobile documents folder, 
but there’s nothing there according to finder. I wonder if this warrants a call 
to Apple support.
