Hey Mark,

Are you still around on Skype? We should catch up some time. I remember us talking back in the days when Kara was the mod of the list. We so seriously need to catch up! I hope you've been doing well.

My Skype name, for you, or anyone else who'd like to add me is:

twinklesfriend2007

Thanks.

Chris.

Subject: Important Follow-Up to: Removal of Sound Flower from OSX Resolved

Hello Everyone,

After successfully uninstalling Sound Flower from my Mac, I noticed a
significant increase in the amount of time it took my system to startup. I
would say that it took almost 20 times as long to boot up after I
uninstalled Sound Flower even after repairing and verifying disk
permissions, etc.

I was resigning myself to the fact that I would have to perform a clean
install of OSX when I decided to perform a quick Google search regarding
this problem. Low-and-behold, I found the solution, said solution being the
following:

It appears that in order to retain the normal system startup time, after
uninstalling Sound Flower, one must reset the system PRAM.

I reset the PRAM and, thankfully, my Mac is booting up at normal speed,
again.

To reset the PRAM, power on the Mac while pressing Option+Command+R+P until
the startup chime is heard, twice.

Hello All,

I just successfully uninstalled the Sound Flower extension from my Mac.

Since I did not have the install package as my copy of Sound Flower was
installed by an old version of Audio Hijack Pro, I:

1.
GGoogled the location of the download site for Sound Flower.

2.
I downloaded the most recent version of Sound Flower which is 1.6.6b.

3.
As was instructed by a helpful list member, I opened the Sound Flower
package and located the uninstall script and ran it.

4.
Finally, I rebooted my Mac.

Done.

Mark
