download the app and without installing any voices there is a spot to listen
to each voice there are over 100, and you can filter countries and etc

Chris, I wasn't going to record my Mac. My original idea was to make an MP3
of her reading text using the "Add to iTunes as a spoken track" feature but
I can't remember how to do that. Oh, and before I forget, let me change the
url for Acapela thanks to damn auto correct. It's acapela-group.com to make
your own sample.

Hey all. I'm excited to report that Infovox Ivox 4.1 is out! This update
adds the new US English voice named Sharon who I'll say again is the best
voice they've made. If you like Ava from Nuance but are tired of your Mac
going so slow, I suggest you download this voice. On another note, for
those of you that like Heather, she's no longer supported and therefore
is no longer one of the voices you can download. That's because I think
Heather was replaced by Sharon. So like I said, if you like Ava, you'll
probably like Sharon.
