In a terminal session, I have navigated to the voice dream writer folder of iCloud and I now want the ability to copy that folder’s contents to my main documents folder. Here is the command I have been attempting in terminal, which is returning a usage error.
CP *.* ~documents/VoiceDreamWriter/ I used to be a wiz with DzOS, and I know UNIX isn’t all that dissimilar, but I can’t figure out my mistake. Can anyone tell me the syntax for copying the contents of a folder to another folder? BTW: the reason I’m doing this in terminal and not in finder is because the contents of the ~library/mobile documents/VDW/documents folder aren’t visible to finder, but they are in terminal. Any help appreciated. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "MacVisionaries" group.
