Hi, The way Talking Checkbook worked was that we had to order a box of check forms which contained our account number and other identifying information. After putting one of these fors in the printer, we would go to the talking checkbook program and press control n to write a new check. The fields would be spoken aloud and you would fill them in. After the fields are filled in, you can print the check.
