Hi all,
Thanks to a very generous person, my (sighted) mother is finally using a Mac
instead of her old, dying, Vista laptop. The difference is amazing; her Windows
machine was so bad that, when I reminded her today she could just leave a few
apps open at once on the MBP, she was surprised, and asked if that wouldn't
lock up the Mac like it did on her other machine.

Anyway, the transition is surprisingly smooth so far. However, there are tons
of tricks I don't know, and/or don't even know about to research. Things like
split screen, moving windows around, scroll gestures, drag and drop modes and
commands, what icons do what, and so forth. Sure, I can tell her all the
keystrokes I know, and most will carry over as they aren't VO-specific, but the
point remains that she can do a great deal with the trackpad that I can't, so
I'm not the best teacher for that aspect. Does anyone know what resources are
out there? Perhaps a good web series, or a book similar to Mastering the
Macintosh with VoiceOver--but for sighted users? I know this is slightly
off-topic, but I'm not sure where else to ask.

Thanks for any ideas. Sorry if you get this twice; I'm posting it to two Mac
lists I'm on.
