Hi,

In Safari, although I don't use FaceBook chat on the web, VO announces their
status. So, if they're not on-line, it may say "John Smith, 2 hours" which I
assume means that they haven't connected on FaceBook for that amount of time.
It may also announce "Fred Flintstone, Mobile", or "Web-George Jetson" which I
take to mean that they are on-line, available and using the device noted.

I prefer though the status lists in Messages which will tell you if your buddy
is on-line or not.

Later...

How do you know that somebody is online to chat with? The only thing I can see
on facebook in Safari is the indication of how many people are on chat but I
can't tell who is or is not available on chat. Thanks for any tips.
