Hi Jonathan, I like the macbook air very much, and the new one’s are supposed to be really fast. Not sure about the mac mini, I understand it has a similar processor to the air but it has spinning hdd’s. As far as resale of your old mac, eBay has lots of them I’d try selling it there! Jeff
