It will do a soft reset of the phone clear out the unneeded things in the
background and free memory and etc this is one of the ways to get issues fixed
without doing a complete restore.

Just turn on the phone, go to the home page, and do it and when you let up on
the home button and power button just set the phone on the table and wait it
takes a few minutes and then you will hear voice over running and don’t tuch
the phone and just keep waiting and in another couple of minutes it will say
locked screen and your ready to go

Before you do this, did you do a soft reset by holding down th home button and
power button at the same time for 7 to 8 seconds and let them up and wait about
5 minutes and the phone will restart and talk and then go to the locked screen

Do this with the phone in the home screen

How will I know when it’s set?

I’m kind of scared to do it.

Stupid right?

Hi Stacey.

You can easily set your phone to factory defaults, and then plug it in to
iTunes and activate VoiceOver. You can also ask Siri to "Turn on Voiceover."

To reset your phone, go to settings, general, Reset. You will then see a button
to Erase all content and restore to factory defaults.

It will then confirm, and after you press Ok, it should start to erase the data.

God bless.

I’ve had trouble with losing calls and such.

Apple can’t duplicate my problem. I’ve also had difficulty answering calls .
These buttons pop up like decline ignore accept message etc.

I can’t answer with a two finger double tap anymore.

Can someone tell me if it requires sighted help to set your phone back to
factory defaults?

I have a basic phone to activate but I tried that for a while and really missed
my iPhone.
