Apparently either windows 8 doesn't like USB sound cards, or it's a VM
conflict. Plugging in an external USB sound card to the VM renders all
sound useless regardless of volume settings in Windows 8. Tried
reinstalling drivers with no luck.
Anybody found a fix for this?
