I think most ad blockers work by blocking access to known ad servers on
the internet. Most web site ads are not served by the site itself but
for YouTube this is not the case. The video you want and the 'pre-roll'
ad all come from youtube's own servers so you can't block the ad without
also blocking the content. Maybe somebody has already figured out
another way but the typical blocker isn't going to help here.
