That will not "reset" the phone. Just as one would do with a computer that is not behaving right, a reboot will set it straight.

I just need to reboot as the phone is extremely wonky today. In the past, 
rebooting has helped but I always forget the new command. I just turn it off 
and back on but that doesn’t always fix the issue.
